An NYC native, relationship builder, avid traveler and calculated risk taker

Relationship Builder
A tour group I led in London, to show exchange students some of London’s most famous attractions. We still keep in touch to this day!
-
Avid Traveler
Worked as a UX Researcher/Designer for a start-up hotel in Oaxaca, Mexico. Making it work with my team despite cultural differences and language barriers!
-
Calculated Risk Taker
After weighing the pros and cons… I had to cross skydiving off of my bucket list! Jumping out of that plane represents my fearless approach to ambiguity and challenges that come my way.
My Story
As a natural networker and exploratory person, my strong suits shine when working with people and diving deep into research concepts. When I realized that understanding/empathizing with people in order to curate experiences that meet the needs of both parties, are critical components of UX Strategy/UX Design, I knew that I chose the right path.
In 2020, I graduated with a Bachelors degree in psychology with a minor in business, this degree fueled my interest in research and equipped me with the right tools to do so effectively. My passions for travel led me to apply and get accepted to a communications and advertising program in London, where I learned about different marketing and branding tools. Outside of school, I have volunteered for various non profits in NYC and have worked in the non- profit and digital marketing industry.
After graduating, I completed the UX Academy course from Designlab. Through that program, I learned about UX/UI Design, UX Strategy and my favorite UX Research. This course taught me skills that I have applied to everyday situations and to various case studies - including a freelance project with a client in Oaxaca, Mexico.
I take pride in my innovative nature, open mindedness, adaptability, and gregarious personality. I believe that my diverse personal, educational, and professional background have been pillars in supporting my overall UX journey. I am constantly drawn to fields that generate social impact and I plan to apply my UX skill set to pursue a full time career contributing to that impact.
